Winter wedding season is upon us! If you are looking for some winter wedding tips, keep on reading! After photographing quite a few winter weddings and trying to keep our brides as comfortable as possible, we wanted to give you all some of our best tips so that you can prepare before your wedding day to stay warm. Winter and/or snowy weddings really have a charm and beauty that is all their own, so if that’s what you want to go for, don’t let the cold change your mind. Instead, just do a little preparing to ensure you’re not just surviving, but prepared and feeling good about your wedding day!
In general, I (Teresa) spent many years being miserable in the cold, even though I’ve always loved winter for the snow. It wasn’t until I really started preparing more, and listening to some reiterated tips I’d heard a few times throughout my life, (and understanding them more) that it all kind of came together and really made all the difference in how I feel about going outside into the cold!
Beauty does not need to equal misery, meaning you don’t need to be shivering and covered in goosebumps just to get the beautiful images you want! If you’re cold, of course you’ll want your portraits to be over as soon as possible. And if you’re miserable, we can guarantee that we, as the photographers, will be trying to work as quickly as possible, instead of being able to slow down and work our creative magic!
So how can you, as a winter bride, prepare to make this process more comfortable and enjoyable?
Here are some of our best tips:

Hi there! I'm Teresa, your wedding, portrait, and homestead photographer. I picked up a camera at an early age and loved being able to capture the beauty I saw around me. 2015 is when I first began taking photos for people who weren't my family ;). Since then, I've been blessed to capture so many special moments for so many people, from weddings & engagements, to family sessions and maternity! I'm so grateful to be able to do this so that you, your families, and loved ones can treasure these memories for years to come. Thank you for stopping by!
